Happy New Year!
Folie à Deux
The faithful, one day . . . much too far away
will awake from their slumbers
to cry out at the numbers:
What a shame, what a shame
how he led us astray
like sheep to their slaughter
--like mice to the water.
Such fools, such fools
how couldn't we see
for he held out our blood
and we drank it with glee.

Colin Christian's Snack Cake
"This fiberglass and silicone sculpture is just under 7 feet tall. This was my first real attempt at silicone. I wanted to achieve a true cartoon realism, not hyper real. The silicone is soft to the touch in contrast to the hard fiber glass. Also the combination of flat and gloss finishes is something that I will continue to do from now on..."

Rapture Ready
"You could say the Rapture index is a Dow Jones Industrial Average of end time activity, but I think it would be better if you viewed it as prophetic speedometer. The higher the number, the faster we're moving towards the occurrence of pre-tribulation rapture."
Rapture Index of 85 and Below: Slow prophetic activity
Rapture Index of 85 to 110: Moderate prophetic activity
Rapture Index of 110 to 145: Heavy prophetic activity
Rapture Index above 145: Fasten your seat belts"
Hold on folks . . . . latest Rapture Index is 155.
Notable Rapture Activity:
Occult:
A study by City University of New York noted a jump in the
number of adult Pagans, from 8,000 in 1990 to 274,000 in 2001.
Mark of the Beast:
The push to replace bar codes product labels with radio tags
has upgraded this category.
Moral Standards:
The scourge of gay marriage upgrades this category.

The Battle of Algiers
An amazing film by Director Gillo Pontecorvo (1966) about the violent struggle in the late 1950s for Algerian independence from France. If you haven't already seen this film, please, please do yourself a favor and watch it and then ask yourself: what are the Iraqi "insurgents" really fighting for? Freedom? Dignity?
See trailer.
