NaNoBlogMo

Cool beans! It looks like some folks over at blogger are going to be participating in NaNoWriMo next month and are encouraging others to join them by blogging their novels, too. I thought I would give it a try, since I didn't finish last year. So starting November first, I will be posting my rough attempt at novel writing (maybe an understatement) on this site. For those of you with weak stomachs, you have been warned. The site will return back to normal December 1st.

I hope you'll consider participating, too.

Paying for It: A Guide by Sex Workers for Their Customers

A new book edited by Greta Christina called Paying for It is for all the guys out there who would like an etiquette guide to the wonderful world of sex workers (and yes, it truly is wonderful, like a perpetual Disneyland of Flesh all over the world). If your first reaction is, "Why should I need an etiquette book," then you really should purchase and read this book. If not for anything else, it could help you get better shows/dates, etc.

I was almost in this book, but sadly, not ready to be published yet.

Mark Ryden at the Frye

"I am attracted to things that evoke memories from childhood….I believe in letting imagination thrive in my art. I am not afraid of nostalgia or sentiment. I value taking the time to make a painting beautiful. I want to breathe life into my paintings." — Mark Ryden

Mark Ryden's work will be on display from November 19, 2004 - February 13, 2005 at the Frye Museum, which is one of Seattle's only free art museums. His work is amazing so get your fannies over there and take a lookie.
